Indian Railways created PM GatiShakti Units in 68 divisions

New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): Railways is one of the key drivers of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan. Ministry of Railways has set up a multi-disciplinary Gati Shakti Directorate in Railway Board. The GatiShakti Units in all 68 divisions are also created. The PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan has helped in expeditious sanction of projects, monitoring of execution of works and co-ordination with other Ministries/State Governments.

It has been targeted to commission 100 GatiShakti Cargo Terminals by 2025. A total of 84 locations have been identified/proposed for GCTs including those in Latehar and Chatra district of Jharkhand State. Here is details of state-wise GatiShakti Cargo Terminals (GCTs):-

  • Andhra Pradesh (03): Vadalapudi, Jaggayyapet and Krishnapatnam
  • Assam (05): Kamalajari, Ramnagar FCI GCT Terminal, Bihara, Jogighopa and Baihata
  • Bihar (07): Chamua, Budhma, Semra, Bhelwa, Mansi, Pasraha and Khudiram Bose Pusa
  • Chhattisgarh (02): Amagura and Lajkura
  • Delhi (01): Narela
  • Gujarat (03): Kayavarohan, Virochan Nagar and Makansar
  • Haryana (05): Farukh Nagar, Lahli, Bhattu, Naultha and Palwal
  • Himachal Pradesh (01): Chintpurni Marg
  • Jharkhand (05): Shivpoor, Phulbasiya, Shivpur, Jarangdih and Gua
  • Karnataka (02):Hirenanduru and Wadi
  • Kerala (01): Balaramapuram
  • Madhya Pradesh (01): Nipania
  • Maharashtra (12): Taloja Panchanand, New Makardhokda, Ghuggus, Moorsa, Sindi, Kalmeshwar, Patas, Varangaon, Lonavala-Malavli, Palasdari, Kalamboli and Dinegaon
  • Manipur (01): Khongsang
  • Odisha (05): Machhapur, Talcher, Sukinda Road, Jaipur Keonjhar Road and Paradeep
  • Punjab (06): Chhina, Kathunangal, Ladhuka, Sanehwal, Chajliand and Samba
  • Rajasthan (02): Bhadwasi and Ras Babra
  • Tamil Nadu (03): Tondiarpet Marshalling Yard, Uttangal Mangalam and MAPPEDU
  • Telangana (04): Ramagundam, Uppalvai, Jankampet and Vishnupuram
  • Uttar Pradesh (09): Salaibanwa, Sathnaraini, Etah, Tinich, Lar Road, Campieganj, Noli, Shriraj Nagar and Dhamora.
  • West Bengal (06): Janai Road, Andal Jn, Haripal, Barabani, Deotala and Balurghat
