BMRC launches construction tenders for Bangalore Metro's Airport Line

Bengaluru, India (Urban Transport News): The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRC) today notified three package civil tenders for the construction of much-awaited Airport Line under Phase 2B of Bangalore Metro Rail Project. The 37-km long Airport Line (Blue Line)  will connect Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) to KR Puram through 17 metro stations.

The scope of work includes the construction of elevated viaduct from Jyothipuram Station (Excluding) to KIA Terminals and fifteen elevated stations viz., Kasturi Nagar, Horamavu, HRBR Layout, Kalyan Nagar, HBR Layout, Nagawara, Veerannapalya, Kempapura, Hebbal, Kodigehalli, Jakkur Cross, Yelahanka, Bagalur Cross, Bettahalasuru and Doddajala, [excluding Architectural Finishing of Stations], including Road widening, Utility diversion & other allied works of Bangalore Metro Rail Project, Phase-2B.

Contract Package: Phase 2B/P2/69(a)

  • Scope of work: Construction of elevated structure (viaduct & stations) of length 11.003 km (including 281.000m of viaduct beyond Phase 2A) from Chainage 0.000 m to 10072.000m and eight elevated metro stations viz. Kasturi Nagar, Horamavu, HRBR Layout, Kalyan Nagar, HBR Layout, Nagawara, Veerannapalya, and Kempapura, including 650.00m link line connectivity to Baiyappanahalli, road widening, utility diversion and allied works of Bangalore Metro Rail Project Phase-2B.
  • Estimated Tender Value: Rs 639.95 crore
  • Security Money Deposit: Rs 6.4 crore
  • Work Completion Period: 27 months

Contract Package: Phase 2B/P2/69(b)

  • Scope of work: Construction of elevated structures (viaduct & stations) of length 11.678 km from chainage 10072.00m to 21500.000m and five elevated metro stations viz. Hebal, Kodigehalli, Jakkur Cross, Yelahanka and Bagalur Cross, including 250m pocket track, road widening, utility diversion and allied works of Bangalore Metro Rail Project Phase-2B.
  • Estimated Tender Value: Rs 645.30 crore
  • Security Money Deposit: Rs 6.45 crore
  • Work Completion Period: 24 months

Contract Package: Phase 2B/P2/69(c)

  • Scope of work: Construction of elevated structures (viaduct & stations) of length 15.011 km from chainage 21500.000m to 36511.000m and two elevated metro stations viz. Bettahalasuru and Doddajala, including road widening utility diversion and allied works of Bangalore Metro Rail Project Phase-2B. This length includes approx 718.18m cut & cover portion in front of Yelahanka Air Force Station.
  • Estimated Tender Value: Rs 620.88 crore
  • Security Money Deposit: Rs 6.21 crore
  • Work Completion Period: 24 months
