Shanghai, China (Urban Transport News): China National Railway Group Co., Ltd. on Monday commenced joint testing and commissioning of Zhaodian–Huangdu High Speed Rail section of Nantong-Shanghai Railway (Tonghu Railway) in China. The Nantong-Shanghai Railway is an important part of the coastal corridor of the “eight vertical and eight horizontal” high-speed rail network in the national mid- and long-term railway network planning. The first phase id from Zhaodian to Huangdu which is starting from Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, and ends at Jiading District, Shanghai. The second phase of the project (from Taicang to Siantuan Section) is starting from Taicang City, Jiangsu Province, and ending at Fengxian District, Shanghai.
