Ahmedabad, India (Urban Transport News): The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRC) on 1st July 2020 opened technical bids received from the civil contractors against the first two civil contracts floated for the constrcution of Phase II of Ahmedabad Metro Rail project. As per data revealed by the GMRC, a total of 12 bidders have submitted their bids against the civil contract floated in two packages.
A total of 8 bidders have submitted their bids for the construction of i) 8.124 km elevated viaducts and 8 stations from Ch. 17343.443m to 25467.443m, ii) 5.420 km elevated viaducts and 3 stations from GNLU to GIFT City and iii) 0.815 km elevated viaducts and additional platform at Koteshwar Road station for Phase II of Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project from Motera to Mahatma Mandir and GNLU to GIFT City (excl. E&M, Architectural, finishing and roofing). The names of the participants are as under:
The estimated cost of this contract package is Rs 1017.563 Crore.
A total of 9 bidders have submitted their bids for the construction of 6.478 km elevated viaducts and 5 stations from CH. 25467.443m to 31945.443m and 0.679 km elevated viaducts and ramp for depot entry in connection with Phasew II of Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project from Motera Satdium to Mahatma Mandir (excl. E&M, architectural finishing and roofing). The names of the participants are as under:
The estimated cost of this contract package is Rs 470.064 Crore. The tenders for both civil contract packages which invloved the construction of a total of 20.02 km section were called in January 2020.
