India unveils National Highway projects worth ₹100,000 crore

New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): In a transformative move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 112 National Highway projects across India, collectively valued at approximately Rs. One lakh crore. The momentous event took place in Gurugram, Haryana, marking a significant leap in the nation's infrastructure development. Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the shift from traditional program locations in Delhi to hosting major events in different parts of the country. The inauguration included the unveiling of the Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway, covering a substantial 19 km stretch. Drawing attention to the Dwarka Expressway, the Prime Minister emphasized its strategic importance, connecting seamlessly to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. He elaborated on how such infrastructure projects enhance connectivity, fostering economic activities and integrating the National Capital Region (NCR).

Commitment to Transformative Infrastructure

Prime Minister Modi praised the efforts of the Haryana government, particularly Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, in ensuring timely project completion. He acknowledged their dedication to modernizing state infrastructure, crucial for the development of both Haryana and the entire nation.
