New Delhi (Urban Transport News): The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has recently passed the proposal of Delhi-Gurugram-SNB RRTS Corridor. After passing the proposal of this corridor, the passengers of Ghaziabad can easily reach Aerocity Metro Station. By catching the metro train, people can land at the next station or IGI Airport station. At the same time, people of Ghaziabad can reach the airport in just 25 minutes after the Rapid Train starts to run from 2024.
Benefits of Delhi-Gurugram-SNB RRTS route
The proposal of 162 km RRTS corridor between the Delhi-Alwar has been passed recently. After implementation of this corridor, people living in Ghaziabad will have the get direct benefit. NCRTC officials said that the Rapid Rail Corridor has been planned in such a way that people can directly be connected with Metro, bus station and airport. Regional Rapid Train from Meerut to Sarai Kale Khan will get connectivity near Ghaziabad, Sahibabad, Anand Vihar, New Ashok Nagar, Sarai Kale Khan, Jor Bagh, Munirka and Aerocity. People living near these stations will be able to easily reach the airport in less time.
Three corridors will be interconnected
All three RRTS corridors namely Delhi-Meerut (82 km), Delhi-Panipat (103 km) and Delhi-Gururgram-Rewari-Alwar (162 km ) will be linked to Sarai Kale Khan Station of Delhi. Some trains coming from Meerut will go to Alwar, while some trains will also run on Sonepat and Panipat routes. In this way, the train of Alwar route will be available every five to ten minutes. If a person is riding on a rapid train from Ghaziabad then he will be able to reach the IGI Airport directly.
IGI Airport will be connected with the RRTS
NCRTC officials said that the metro currently runs from Rajiv Chowk to the IGI Airport. On this route, there is Aerocity station before the airport. This station is connected to the route of the RRTS with Delhi-Alwar corridor. The rapid rail coming from Meerut will go through Sarai Kala Khan via Aroocity Station to Alwar. People from Meerut and Ghaziabad often visit Delhi Airport to catch flights. In this case, it will be very easy to reach the Aerocity metro station with a rapid train. From where the airport can be reached in a few minutes. Officials said that the train will be ready to run in the frequency of 5 and 10 minutes on this route.
