Navi Mumbai, India (Urban Transport News): The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (Maha Metro) on behalf of the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO) invited e-tenders from the experienced contractors for the balance civil work of Navi Mumbai Metro Rail Project.
Design (part) and construction of balance works of Concrete & Fabricated Steel Structures, Architectural works, Plumbing and Sewerage etc. of 6 (Six) of Elevated Metro Stations at Kharghar Village, Kendriya Vihar, Utsav Chowk, Belpada, RBI Colony & Belapur Terminal Station for Navi Mumbai Metro Line-1.
In January, this year CIDCO appointed Maha Metro to complete the remaining works of Phase 1 of Navi Mumbai Metro which was delayed due to multiple reasons. However, CIDCO will continue as the project proponent and the Maha Metro team will execute the project. For this, Maha Metro has deployed over 20 engineers with their site office set-up at Taloja Depot.
CIDCO officials have set a deadline to open the section by December 2022.
