Gr.Noida Authority plans Metro & Rapid Rail to connect Bodaki Transport Hub

Greater Noida (Urban Transport News): The Greater Noida Authority is planning to run metro rail to connect proposed Bodaki Transport Hub with the Jewar International Airport and Rapid Rail to connect IGI Airport New Delhi with Bodaki Transport Hub. There is a plan to run Metro Rail and Rapid Rail from the Transport & Logistics Hub of the city. Tenders will be issued between April and June for the development of the transport hub and logistics hub in the Bodaki area. Apart from this, a new Industrial Authority has started the work of settling its own city.

 

Narendra Bhushan, CEO of Greno Authority, said that a mega plan has been built for the connectivity of the city with the Jewar International Airport and IGI Airport Delhi. Under this, separate MetroRail will be run from Bodaki Transport Hub to Jewar Airport. The study will be done for its routes and stations. Apart from this, rapid trains will be run from IGI Airport New Delhi to proposed Bodaki Transport Hub. A transport hub and a logistics hub is planned to develop in 412 acres area in the Botaki. In the Transport Hub, an Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) and a Railway Terminal will also be built. After landing from the train, buses will be found on the other side on the same platform.

 

Apart from these, other world-class facilities will be available on the lines of hotels, shopping complexes, office complexes, business centers, and airports. The tender will be issued between April and June for this project. By the end of 2019, work on this project is expected to begin. The second big task will be the Logistic Hub. It will be built near Dadri. The Eastern and Western Freight Corridors are joining in Dadri. Industries of NCR will get benefits from the logistics hub. Cost of transporting goods from one location to another will be reduced.

 

The work of new industrial authority has been started separately under the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) near Bodaki. A separate authority has been formed in the name of Integrated Industrial Township Greater Noida Limited (IITGNL). To develop the office campus of authority, 747.5 acres of land has been given to the institution. Master plan for IITGNL has been prepared. New Authority's office is built in the Greater Noida Authority campus. The CEO told that four companies, including Haier, have been allotted land for IITGNL. Work has begun to develop a new city.

 

Tender notice for RFQ cum RFP for selection of Information and Communication Technology Consultant for Integrated Industrial Township Greater Noida has been issued on December 14.
