Contracts awarded for station facade works of Mumbai Metro Line-2

Mumbai, India (Urban Transport News): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) in last month awarded contracts for stations facade works of Mumbai Metro's Line-2A (Dahisar East - DN Nagar).

As per the data revealed by DMRC, the details of the four contracts which were awarded to the lowest bidders are as under:- 

1. Contract Package (DMRC/MU/LINE2/AC-11) worth Rs 44,42,13,846/- (Rs 44.42 crores) is awarded to Mumbai based firm Godrej and Boyce Manufacturing Company Ltd. for executing the external Facade Works of 05 (five) elevated stations i.e. Dahisar (East), Anand Nagar, Rushi Sankul, IC Colony and Eksar of Line 2A on Dahisar (East) - DN Nagar corridor of Mumbai Metro Rail Project in Mumbai on 27th August 2020. The estimated value of tender was Rs 41.71 crores. The financial bids were opened on 25th August 2020.

2. Contract Package (DMRC/MU/LINE2/AC-12) worth Rs 34,92,74,367/- (Rs 34.92 crores) is awarded to Mumbai based firm Godrej and Boyce Manufacturing Company Ltd. for executing the external Facade Works of 04 (four) elevated stations i.e. Don Bosco, Shimpoli, Mahavir Nagar and Kamraj Nagar of Line 2A on Dahisar (East) - DN Nagar corridor of Mumbai Metro Rail Project in Mumbai on 27th August 2020. The estimated value of tender was Rs 32.80 crores.

3. Contract Package (DMRC/MU/LINE2/AC-13) worth Rs 36.33 crores is awarded to NCC Limited for executing the external Facade Works of 04 (four) elevated stations i.e. Charkop, Malad, Kasturi Park and Bangur Nagar of Line 2A on Dahisar (East) - DN Nagar corridor of Mumbai Metro Rail Project in Mumbai. The estimated value of tender was Rs 32.80 crores.

4. Contract Package (DMRC/MU/LINE2/AC-14) worth Rs 42.49 crores is awarded to J Kumar Infraprojects Limited for executing the external Facade Works of 04 (four) elevated stations i.e. Goregaon, Adarsh Nagar, Shastri Nagar and DN Nagar of Line 2A on Dahisar (East) - DN Nagar corridor of Mumbai Metro Rail Project in Mumbai. The estimated value of tender was Rs 38.66 crores.

Tenders for the aforesaid works were invited in June 2020 by DMRC in four packages comprising a total of 17 stations. The contractors have to complete the work in 6 months.
