Noida, India (Urban Transport News): A total of 2 construction firms have submitted their bids for the construction of a 9.605 km long elevated Noida-Greater Noida Extension Line of the Noida Metro Rail project under contract package NGNC-01. The Noida Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRC) opened technical bids on 20th November 2020 to reveal the names of bidders.
According to the information shared by NMRC, the following two firms have submitted their bids against contract package NGNC-01 of Noida Metro for the construction of an elevated corridor from Noida Sector-51 to Greater Noida Sector-2:
The revised tender was invited in September 2020 by NMRC with the revised estimated cost of Rs 491.99 crore. The scope of work includes Part Design and Construction of the Elevated Viaduct and 5 elevated stations viz NOIDA SEC -122, NOIDA SEC-123 GR. NOIDA SEC-4 ECOTECH-12 GR NOIDA SEC-2 (excluding Architectural finishing Works and PEB works of stations) from Chainage 0.00 m to Chainage 9605 m of Noida -Greater Noida Metro Rail Project.
Earlier, NMRC had cancelled the tender for the same work which was invited in May 2020 with an estimated cost of Rs 430.69 crore citing a fewer responses from the construction firms. The tender was re-invited in September 2020. This contract package is a part of a 14.95 km further extension of the 29.7 km Line-1 from Sector 51 to Knowledge Park V.
All bids now sent for technical evaluation which can take a couple of weeks to complete and after that financial bids will be opened to reveal the lowest bidder.
