The Taj Trapezium Zone (TTZ) Authority has refused to grant No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) for commencing construction work of metro rail project in the City. While returning the proposal, the authority has asked LMRC to first bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Supreme Court of India. LMRC had applied for NOC for Agra Metro at TTZ Authority six months ago. On no receipt of NOC, the concerned officer sent the reminder to the Authority a few days ago.
The TTZ authority returned the proposal with remarks to receive the NOC first from the Apex Court in this regard. An official of the authority said that the authority has sought details of how the Agra Metro will work? At the same time, the first NOC will need to be collected from the Supreme Court, only then the authority will issue NOC. During LMRC board meeting held in July, the corporation had decided to approach the Apex Court to obtain NOC. LMRC had also floated tenders for the construction of corridor 1 of Agra Metr Rail project.
