New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) has issued a contract order worth Rs 553.5 crore to the consortium consisting of YFC Proejcts Limited and MCL for the construction of 8-km elevated sections with 7 stations) of Corridor 1 of Patna Metro Rail project. The letter of acceptance (LoA) was issued on December 29, 2021.
This is fourth contract package (PC-04) of Phase 1 of Patna Metro Rail project. The scope of work under this package includes Part Design and Construction of Elevated Viaduct, elevated ramp at Mithapur & Patliputra and seven stations viz Danapur, Saguna More, RPS More, Patliputra, Mithapur, Ramkrishna Nagar & Jaganpura Station (Excluding Architectural Finishing & PEB works) in Corridor-1 of Phase-I of Patna Metro Rail Project.
Tender notice for this contract package was issued in September 2020 with estimated work value of Rs 527.62 crore. Technical bids were opened in November 2020 and a total of four bids were received by the DMRC. Financials bids were opened on July 19, 2021 and YFC-MCL JV was found as the lowest bidder (L1) and the financial position of each bidder was as under:-
YFC Projects - MCL JV has to complete the work within 36 months.
Corridor 1 of Patna Metro will be 16.86 km long and will connect Danapur Cantonment to Khemni Chak through 14 metro stations at Danapur Cantonment, Saguna More, RPS More, Patliputra, Rukanpura, Raja Bazar, Patna Zoo, Vikas Bhawan, Vidyut Bhawan, Patna Railway Junction, Mithapur, Ramkrishna Nagar, Jaganpur and Khemni Chak.
